Claude Cowork + WordPress: Your Whole Site, Right in the Desktop App

Claude Cowork is Anthropic’s desktop AI tool built for non-developers — writers, marketers, and content managers who want AI to handle complex multi-step tasks without writing code. Connect it to mumcp, and your entire WordPress site becomes something Cowork can read, update, and manage on your behalf.

Built for Content Teams, Not Just Developers

Most WordPress-AI integrations require terminal commands or developer setup. Cowork is different — it’s a desktop app with a natural language interface. You describe what you want in plain English, and Cowork does it. mumcp makes that same experience work for your WordPress site.

No command line. No API calls. Just conversation.

What Your Team Can Do

Content Managers

Ask Cowork to draft a post, update your homepage copy, fix all the meta descriptions that are missing, or publish five scheduled articles — and it handles every WordPress step automatically through mumcp.

Marketing Teams

Run a site-wide SEO audit, update pricing pages across multiple sites, refresh your FAQ section, or build a new landing page — all from the same Cowork conversation you use for emails and reports.

Agency Operators

Manage client sites without handing over dashboard logins. Install mumcp on each client site, add the API keys to Cowork’s MCP configuration, and manage everything from one place with the right permissions per site.

How to Connect WordPress to Claude Cowork

Step 1 — Install mumcp

Install the plugin on your WordPress site and generate an API key from the mumcp settings panel. Choose your access scope: read-only for audits, or full admin for content management.

Step 2 — Add to Cowork’s MCP settings

In the Claude desktop app, go to Settings → MCP Servers and add your mumcp connection:

Name: My WordPress Site
URL: https://yoursite.com/wp-json/site-pilot-ai/v1/mcp
Header — X-API-Key: your-api-key-here

Step 3 — Ask Cowork to manage your site

Try: “Show me all pages that are missing a meta description” or “Create a draft post titled ‘How WordPress MCP Works’ and set its focus keyword to ‘wordpress mcp’.”

What Makes This Different from the WordPress Editor

The WordPress editor is single-post focused. Cowork plus mumcp is site-aware. You can ask questions that span your entire content library, run operations across dozens of posts at once, and combine WordPress tasks with other work — like drafting emails, building reports, or managing files — in a single conversation.
